Los Angeles Times Festival of Books
USC Campus, Booth 540
The drawings of renowned illustrator Raúl Colón take us on adventures and connect us to spaces and ideas in our communities. In this special conversation inspired by Colón’s wordless children’s book Imagine!, the artist joined Lucas Museum curator Erin M. Curtis to discuss the power of children’s book illustration, which is a collecting priority for the museum, as well as the role museums play in their communities. Colón shared insights about his most recent book Luz para todos, set to be released with Simon & Schuster in hardback spring 2023.
The Lucas Museum hosted a booth at the festival all weekend and free family art-making activities on Sunday.
