Yes. A free account is required. Click here to register. This will make checkout easier and will be where you can find your purchased tickets. 

General admission includes access to all galleries, exhibitions and theaters located on Level 1, 4, and 5. General admission does not include entry into paid programs. 

You do not need a reservation to visit our shop, cafe, restaurant, park and gardens, and library.  

Yes, a reserved timed ticket is required for visitors of all ages to enter the galleries and exhibitions.

General admission is free for children 0-17. Teens 13-17 can reserve a ticket for themselves without an adult ticket attached. Student ID must be verified. 

Please note:
All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder at all times outside of designated public areas. 

All sales are final and non-transferable. There are no refunds, transfers, or exchanges for tickets. If you experience payment issues, such as duplicate charges, please contact us at info@lucasmuseum.org.

The release of tickets on July 21 will be for Sept 2026 – Feb 2027. Additional dates will be released at a later date. Sign up for our mailing list to receive updates.  

While California EBT cardholders receive free museum general admission, a ticket is required for entry. When prompted to enter a promo code, please enter an “L” and then the first six digits of your California EBT card, which will automatically provide access to two adult tickets at no cost.

For example: “L123456" is correct. “123456" will not work.

Any additional tickets ordered will be at the general admission price. All sales are final and non-transferable. An EBT card must be presented and verified at museum check in.

At this time, group visits of 10+ and group sales are not available. Please reach out to info@lucasmuseum.org  to be notified when group sales become available.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is located at One Lucas Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90037 in Exposition Park in South Los Angeles. We are located between Bill Robertson Lane and Vermont Avenue, next to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Natural History Museum. You can get to us by foot, bike, car, rideshare, and more. 

The closest public transit stop is at the Expo/Vermont train station at the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. The Vermont/39th bus stop is also conveniently located next to the museum. Map your route here.

Our Checkroom is located in the Main Lobby, on Level 1 of the museum.  

Bags larger than 11 × 16.5 × 8 in (45 x 28 x 20 cm) are not permitted. The Checkroom is available for coats and small personal items only, we are unable to accommodate luggage or oversized items.  

Backpacks and bags smaller than 11 × 16.5 × 8 in are permitted within the museum and must be carried by hand or worn on the front of the body at all times. 

Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Food and beverages are not allowed in the galleries, Library, theaters, or outside the designated areas of restaurant and Café. Bottled water for medical needs is permitted. 

Flash photography is not permitted in the museum. Please do not photograph areas with posted “No Photography” signs.  

Commercial photography, videography, drone use, or equipment such as tripods and lighting rigs require written approval in advance.  Photographs and videos taken at the museum or in the park may not be sold or used for commercial purposes.   

Audio or video recording is not permitted in museum theaters, including wearable technology.

Only pencils may be used for sketching. The use of pens, charcoal, markers, paints, adhesives, or other art materials is not permitted.  

Clothing with violent or inappropriate themes or imagery is not allowed. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.  

Costumes are welcome. However, visitors aged 13 and older may not wear masks or face paint that obscures the face. Large props, including lightsabers, or bulky costume elements, must be checked at the Checkroom. Costumes that drag on the ground or trail behind are not allowed.  

No. The Museum is not a venue for advertising, selling, soliciting, or sponsored and branded content of any kind. Personal photos for your own social media are welcome where photography is allowed; anything commercial requires the Museum's prior written approval.

The museum building is fully accessible to wheelchair users and all other visitors who may require assistance with exploring our facility. Manual and electric wheelchairs, and manual strollers can be used in all galleries and throughout the museum. 

Yes. We welcome working service animals as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service animals must be on a leash and under the supervision of their owner. No other animals or pets are permitted in the museum. 

Caregivers of visitors with disabilities receive free general admission to the museum. Advanced reservations are required. Please email info@lucasmuseum.org with any questions.
